UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued a mass recruitment notification for Stenographer Exam 2024.

1. Number of Vacancies

Total Posts: 661 vacancies.

2. Important Dates

- Notification Issue Date: December 2, 2024.

December 6, 2024 - Application start date.

- Closing Date to Apply: December 26, 2024.

- The last date of submitting the fee and making changes is December 30, 2024.

3. Eligibility Criteria

a. Academic Qualification

- Intermediate/12th Exam passed from any approved board.

Must have shorthand speed of **80 words per minute in Hindi and typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi.

- Computer Skills: Must possess a CCC certification or equivalent.

b. Age Limit

- The minimum age requirement is 18 years.

- Maximum Age: 40 years as of July 1, 2024.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation as applicable for reserved categories as per Government guidelines.

4. Application Fee

Processing Fee- ₹ 25/- for all categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST).

- Main Exam Fee: To be paid separately if shortlisted.

5. Selection Process

The following are the selection process stages:

1. Shortlisting based on UP PET 2022 Scores:

The candidates will be short-listed using the scores obtained in the Preliminary Eligibility Test - 2022.

2. Written Test:

Objective MCQs with negative marking.

- Exam duration: 1 hour.

3. Hindi Shorthand and Typing Test:

Shorthand: 80 WPM.

- Typing: 25 WPM.

6. Exam Pattern

a. Written Examination

Total Questions: 80.

Total Marks: 40.

- Time Duration: 1 hour.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

- Subjects

Knowledge of Hindi and Writing Capability: 40 questions.

General Intelligence: 20 questions (10 marks).

General Knowledge: 20 questions (10 marks).

b. Shorthand and Typing Test

- **Hindi Shorthand Speed**: 80 WPM dictation for 10 minutes.

- Typing speed: 25 WPM.

7. Pay Scale- **Pay Level:

₹29,200-₹92,300 per month.

- **Grade Pay**: ₹ 2,800.

- Additional allowances as per state government norms.
